The programme of the PS-CdH coalition for the French Community devotes only a few lines to the multilingualism dimension of education. The stated objective is that each pupil should be able to communicate in at least one extra language by the end of secondary school. Support for immersion schools and regional language plans and the use of attractive teaching methods using real-life situations are the means proposed to achieve this objective. No mention whatsoever is made of the specific needs of the Brussels population, except that these attractive methods should be used "especially in bilingual areas".
